Kick-Off Party & Here Comes Aunt Jane

Sandy told me yesterday that A. Jane is coming in to town on Thursday! I wish my house was more ready for her visit. It would be nice to already have the place decorated like I want it to be. There are still boxes to unpack! :) But I am just going to clean up a bit and let it go at that.
I wish I had known that she was coming, I have clients until 5:30 or so. Ah well, I can meet them at dinner. It would be nice to be able to spend more time with her, but I guess not this time. She is very excited to be coming and I can't wait to see her!

Hockey Season is upon us! Tonight Mike and I went to the North Charleston Riverfront Park on the old Naval Base for a kick-off party given by the booster club for the Stingrays. It was a really fun night. The park is beautiful! Live oak trees with hanging spanish moss....gorgeous. There is a shelter built that has some picnic tables and such. Shrimp boil and fried chicken were on the menu! YUM! It was great to see so many old friends.
I am almost bored with the whole hockey thing, but the people are always a hoot! :)
The team is very young and seem kind of small, but that means they are also, hungry and fast! LOL Hopefully they will give us an entertaining year.
One thing that I really like about being with Mike is how well he gets along with everyone. He has never met a stranger. These are people I have known for about 10 years all told and he fits right in. That sure makes things easier!
Saturday is opening night! Here we go again!
